Milled Foams
Protofoams key strength lies in CNC Milling open celled foam for seating and soft trim.
This process is ideal for early stage prototypes, concepts and show cars and benefits from very short lead times of days rather than weeks.
We can supply Mono or Dual density parts and can integrate wire frames, apertures, EPP Inserts, trim wires / clips and velcro strips if needed.
We produce every standard seat product such as Headrests, Cushions, Squabs and Armrests to more diverse requirements including soft trimmed consoles, lids & door panels all based on data provided by the customer.
We can mill a wide range of open celled PU foams with hardness values ranging from 3kPa to 20+kPa.
All parts are milled within a +/-2mm tolerance, measured and quality checked.
Grades we commonly work with are VE, RF, CMRBH, REFLEX & HLB (automotive).
FRM, DAX & Vastipur (aviation).
CONFOR memory foam (impact absorption)
EPP (crash protection & electrical).
We can supply a large range of Interior products in Mono or Dual hardeness block foams.
We can modify existing production tooled foams either by hand or machined.
We are just as comfortable milling products in EPP, EPS, Styling Foam & Models Boards.
